Programs
Swimming
The NBMA offers an excellent Red Cross Red Cross and Royal Life Saving Society swimming program – for children from Starfish to Bronze Cross. The programs run over a six week period – starting July 4th until August 12th. We also offer Aquafit classes – both deep and shallow water –a synchronized swimming program, “Bay Babies” – a parent/child program, senior swim club and private lessons.
All lessons are taught by our qualified and certified swimming instructors, with assistance from assistant instructors and volunteers. All lessons and swim programs are held at The Pier, or The Pier beach. Refer to the registration form for times. Swim classes will begin Monday, July 4.
Please refer to the registration form for the current swim class schedule. We recommend that you confirm class times and location at Centennial Hall on Registration Day – July 2.
Field Sports
Once again, a Field Sports program will take place Monday to Thursday evenings, held at Centennial Park. The program is run by qualified Field Sports leaders who facilitate a variety of age-appropriate games and activities. Field Sports is a rain or shine program.
Ages 6-9: 7:00-7:30
Ages 10 – 13: 7:30 – 8:15
Tennis
Tennis lessons are offered to children ages 5 – 12, as well as teens and adults. A schedule will be available after registration. Tennis lessons are included in the Field Sports fees.
Toddler Night
Circle Fun for the 5 and under crowd! Please join us Monday and Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 7:30 p.m. outside of Centennial Hall (and held indoors in case of rain). Parents and caregivers welcome. Our enthusiastic Toddler Night leaders have developed creative theme nights, stories and games as well as the favorite traditional songs. This program begins July 4th and runs for 6 weeks. Participation is included with a basic membership.
Craft and Movie Night
From July to mid-August, the Field Sports coordinator offers crafting activities for kids at the Centennial Hall. Crafts take place each Wednesday 3:30 – 4:30. Adults welcome, too!
Movie Night takes place on Friday evenings starting at 7 p.m. and features a selection of family friendly movies – with popcorn to boot!
